The Vanguard Trials: A Guild Wars 1 Event

Welcome to "The Vanguard Trials", a premier Guild Wars: Reforged event where daring teams will race to complete the Forsaken Tunnels on new characters. This is a marathon-like event, where teams will create new characters, line up at a starting position, then race to complete a series of specific quests.
One team will emerge champions!
The Vanguard Trials, will start 1st of August 2026 09:00am PDT / 18:00 CEST
The GOAL of this event is for teams to complete the "Story Mode" dungeon questchain Forsaken Tunnels in Presearing Ascalon as quickly as possible.
The questline includes these separate quests, which will also act as milestones:
- Across the Wall
- A Bastion in the North
- Long Thought Forgotten
- Charr in the Tunnels
- The Scourge Beneath

PRIZING
If you would like to donate to the prizepool, please contact any one of our tournament organizers on discord or ingame.
Everyone that enters will have a chance at "door prizes". We will also be livestreaming the event, with some fun little giveaways for viewers on occassion.

RULES
1. Each team MUST comprise of 4 players.
2. Each player character must be a NEW creation using the MELANDRU'S ACCORD system in Guild Wars.
3. Teams are PROHIBITED from using the following:
- Items acquired via the /bonus command.
- Summoning Stones
- Consumables
- Heroes
4. Teams are REQUIRED to stay in their designated parties for the entire duration of the event.
- This includes all traveling between regions and outposts.
5. Teams must have at least ONE member livestreaming their POV on Twitch.
- Must have your team visible at all times (Top-left preferred, in a highly visible color)
- Register your team with the Google Form
6. Teams must complete the event goal within the maximum allotted time of approximately 3 hours.
7. The official timer begins when Event Admins declare START via Discord communication, and stops upon killing the last boss of the dungeon: Maz Scourgeheart
